Living on Cash

So I am now on an official budget and it looks like this.....

I have five different coin pouches that I split all the money into....except the blue one I am not budgeting anything for right now.  I will probably next month.

Here are the coin purses I'm using:

I'm using this for transportation.  The amount is HUGE!!!!  And it's only for gas.  If the gas prices don't go down I think I might just start rowing to work....it would be a lot cheaper.  Although I would probably drowned.  I am a terrible swimmer.

I am using the green one for food.  This is another big one.  This can be my weakness and what ultimately does me in.  I love to eat out and it is usually sushi!  This is the category I am going to really have to work at!

This is the one I am using for entertainment.  I put my Starbucks money in here and enough money to go out to breakfast once a week.  That is SO much less than I was spending.  This will be a gigantic challenge.

This is my Everything Else one.  I only budgeted for my dogs for this.  In case they need food or treats.  The money will probably roll over since I already have what they need.  I will have to figure out what to do with extra money each week that is left over.  ANY SUGGESTIONS??

And the blue one isn't being used for now since I am trying not to buy anything extra.  Although I have to get a baby shower gift next week so I will be doing that. But for now....no clothes or gifts.

Which I funny considering I came online to look up clothes since there is a good sale today!!  NOT A GOOD SIGN.

No shopping....no shopping....no shopping.......

If I get through this week I will have spent almost nothing compared to what I normally do!!

WISH ME LUCK!!

I'm thinking that for the blue wallet...whatever money you roll over from one month to the next could go in there so that you have an incentive to stay under budget whenever you can.

I know what you mean about addiction to credit. The problem is I somehow justify my expenses on credit because they are useful.

If you google Consumption Rebellion the blogger is an Australian who a few years ago tried to really cut back on her spending. She may inspire you to be more aware of your shopping.

Best wishes
